Adsense is an excellent way to monetize your website.

You should first get some really sensible advice - from one of the recognised Gurus like Joel Comm.

Joel has written an EXCELLENT Book called the Adsense Code and this is being extensively marketed

and sold by Amazon.com. It's only about $15 and you can also get lots of freebies from him directly just for purchasing a paperback.

I bought a copy and spent two days reading and re-reading it and was surprised at the results when I took his advice on some

(what seemed minor changes) changes to one of my websites. I wouldn't say the difference was huge but it certainly doubled

the click-throughs and sometimes more. Do purchase a copy if you don't already have one.

Remember that you can't put adsense on sites that sell or push immoral things like sex,adult,porn,drugs,liquor,tobacco

and quite a few other things too.

Layout and colour of Adsense ads is very important but adsense should only be used on pages with REAL content to help people.

Check out the Google list and terms before you even start building your website.
